Faithful Follow-Up: How to Reach Out and Fill Out Your Support Tracker
Have you ever sat down to start support raising and thought, “What do I even do next?” You’re not alone. Many missionaries get stuck in the outreach phase, not because they don’t care, but because they feel overwhelmed or unsure where to begin.
Let’s break it down. Support raising doesn’t have to be chaotic. In fact, if you follow a few simple steps each week and use the tools in your hands like your Support Tracker and you’ll be amazed at the progress you’ll make.
God Works Through Our Faithfulness
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." - Colossians 3:23–24
Support raising isn’t just about results. It’s about faithfulness. Every call, email, and follow-up is a way of serving Christ. When we show up with all our heart, He takes care of the rest.
Here’s What You Can Do This Week:
1. Use the 3.5-Week Outreach Strategy
Focus on just one goal: book a 30-minute meeting. Use these touchpoints over time:
Touch 1: Phone call, voicemail, and text = 1 combined outreach
Touch 2: Email (mention your call/text)
Repeat! Aim for 2–3 total touchpoints per person per week.
2. Track Every Touch in Your Support Tracker
Log everything: calls, emails, texts, and meetings. Don’t wait. Do it right after you reach out.
3. Send Your Weekly Newsletter
Even if it's simple. You can plan out 4–8 emails ahead using ChatGPT. Share updates, prayer needs, or stories.
4. Prioritize Action, Not Perfection
If you haven’t started yet, start now. Don’t wait until your presentation is “perfect.” Just make the calls.
5. Ask Boldly, Follow Up Faithfully
Leave a voicemail. Send a follow-up email. Add your calendar link. Make it easy for people to say “yes.”
Real Talk: Don’t Delay
Calling once isn’t enough. Most people are busy. That’s why we “stack” our outreach: call, text, email, DM. It’s not annoying, it’s faithful. You're showing care, persistence, and purpose.
And if your tracker is confusing? Ask for help. Your coach is ready to jump on a call and walk you through it.
You’re Not Alone
Support raising isn’t just about money. It’s about building a team of people who care about the mission God has given you. It’s a spiritual work and you’ve got backup.
