How to Stay Strong When Fundraising Feels Hard

Let’s be honest, fundraising can feel tough.
You’re calling. You’re texting. You’re emailing.

Some people say yes.
Some don’t reply.
Sometimes, it feels like nothing’s working.

But here’s the truth:
You are not alone.
God is with you in every step, every call, every message, every meeting.

God’s Promise

“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”
— Philippians 4:19

God will give you what you need.
Not just money, but courage, strength, and the right people.
You can trust Him.

3 Things You Can Do This Week

1. Keep Your Calls Simple and Clear
Not everyone will answer. That’s okay!
Try saying:

“Hey! I only have 5 minutes, but I wanted to check in.”

This shows you respect their time and helps you stay focused.

2. Use Your Support Presentation
Even if the person is a close friend, show them your presentation!
It shows that you care and that this is important to you.

You don’t have to memorize every word.
Just walk through it like a storybook. Let the pictures help you explain your mission.

3. Track What You Do
Write down your calls, emails, texts, and meetings.
This helps you remember your progress.

Tracking isn’t to look good.
It helps you stay faithful.
It’s like a map to show what God is doing.

A Word of Encouragement

You don’t have to feel bold to be brave.
God will help you be bold as you take each step.

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged,
for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

— Joshua 1:9

Some days, the work feels slow.
But every little step counts. When you log your work, you’ll see God’s faithfulness over time.

Let’s Take the Next Step

  • Look at your list today

  • Make 3 calls to get moving today (your goal is 70 this week)

  • Follow up with 3 people

  • Say a short prayer before and after

This isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about showing up again and again.

You’re called.
You’re sent.
And you’re not alone.

Let’s go!
