How to Share Your Support Presentation
Learn how to give a clear and powerful support raising presentation that invites people to give, connect others, and join God's mission.
When Sharing Feels Scary
Let’s be honest, sharing your ministry and asking for financial support can feel scary. You sit down, heart racing, wondering if you’ll say the right thing. You believe in your mission but it’s easy to worry others won’t understand or care.
Here’s the good news: You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to show up, be real, and trust God to move.
God Provides Through People
A Quick Word from the Bible
"The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing." – Psalm 23:1
God uses ordinary people to meet extraordinary needs. He invites others to be part of His story, and support raising is your chance to extend that invitation.
A Simple, Powerful Format
Here are 5 steps to make your support presentation strong and Spirit-led:
1. Keep it short (30 minutes total)
Break it into three parts:
10 minutes: Connect. Ask how they are. Be present.
15 minutes: Share your story, vision, and ministry.
5 minutes: Invite their thoughts and feedback.
2. Testify, don’t just talk
This isn’t about money. It’s about what God has done in your life and what you believe He will do next. Speak with faith.
3. Invite, don’t pressure
Let them know:
"You get to be the hero in this story. God has uniquely shaped you to be part of this work."
4. Make a clear ask
Say something like:
"Would you consider partnering at $200/month to help reach more students for Christ?"
5. Follow up in 24–48 hours
Always follow through. If they say “maybe,” ask:
"Can I check back in a couple of days?"
Then actually do it.
You’re Not Alone
It’s easy to think, “I’m not good at this,” or “I’m not special.” But here’s the truth: God uses faithful people, not perfect ones.
You’re not just asking for money, you’re offering others a front-row seat to what God is doing.
Take the Next Step
This week, schedule one support meeting. Share your story. Make the ask. Follow up.
You were made for this. Let’s raise support and move God’s mission forward, together.
